Job Overview


Our comprehensive primary care clinic opens in early next year. Our clinic is highly collaborative, supports the largest interdisciplinary team in Alberta, and prides itself on providing executive level health services to Calgarians.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a family clinic setting. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs. The LPN will play a vital role in patient assessment, supporting the medical team in collaborative care efforts, building a strong professional rapport with clients, and ensuring comfort and safety for all individuals under their care.

Responsibilities



Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders Monitor and assess patient vital signs and observe for any changes in condition Assist with patient assessments and document findings using AVA Provide wound care, including dressing changes and wound assessments Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and families about health conditions, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions Maintain a safe and clean environment adhering to infection control protocols Participate in case management activities for complex or chronic cases

Skills



Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state certification Prior experience in autoclave and sterilization policy and procedure preferred Proficiency in medical terminology and medication administration procedures Experience with AVA is highly desirable Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on compassion and professionalism Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and families Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and patient needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
