About the Job



Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols


This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.



Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evenings, and nights rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00, 07:00 to 18:10 hours.

Deni House provides excellent long-term care in a home-like environment overlooking the City of Williams Lake in the heart of the Cariboo. We are located adjacent to Cariboo Memorial Hospital. The name "Deni House" was chosen for its significance to the Cariboo. Deni is the Chilcotin word meaning "People" or "All the People." The word "House" was chosen due to historical significance from the days of the Cariboo Gold Rush and the way stations along the gold rush trail used as places of refuge and rest for weary people. Deni House means "A House for Our People." Deni House is home to 19 permanent clients and includes 9 short-stay beds offering respite, convalescent and palliative care.



Surrounded by rugged forests and stunning lakes, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. From hiking, fishing, and boating in the warmer months to snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in the winter, the area offers year-round adventure just outside your door.

Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) * Current CPR certification required
