The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive patient and family centered care on Unit 23 comprised of Pre-Admission Clinic, Day Surgery, Endoscopy and Urology unit in accordance with the LCH and AHS policy and procedures. As an LPN, you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach and advocate on behalf of patients and families. Working within the full scope of practice, the LPN observes, monitors, reports, and documents changes in the patient's physical, mental, and emotional state, and provides the patient and family with relevant information and teaching. The LPN is responsible to collaborate as a member of the health care team, delivering consistent quality care, to meet the needs of the patient.
