Your Opportunity:An exciting opportunity await you in Innisfail. Continuing Care is a 78-bed unit, including some medically Complex Care Beds, that provides personal care to residents, within an interdisciplinary team environment. Using your strong assessment, organizational and nursing skills you will identify care needs within your scope of practice. You will provide client centered care to individuals in all developmental stages and contribute to the nursing diagnosis, interventions and outcomes.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:To be a self-directed individual with demonstrated organizational and excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable in meeting care requirements of a geriatric population. Demonstrate ability to provide quality care to residents and to report appropriate observations. Medication administration is required and to have I.V. monitoring skills. Must be a team player. Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care experience an asset. Having experience in a Long-Term Care setting within the last three years is preferred.
