This position will function as a key member of the Community Support Program and will provide quality nursing care to clients in homes, clinics and other community settings. Responsibilities would include wound management, medication administration, health assessment, health maintenance and health promotion in consultation and collaboration with registered community health nurses. The LPN will liaise with other community and professional personnel as needed to meet client needs. Other duties within the LPN scope of practice may be required based on assessed need.Job Demands

Regularly requires physical exertion and handling, moving, pushing or pulling objects between 10 - 15 lbs and occasionally required to support, lift or move patients/objects up to 30 lbs.
Regularly required to work in awkward cramped positions (bending/kneeling/stretching) and constantly standing and moving about.
Regularly pushes and pulls objects using light to medium forces and stands and walks.
Regularly requires visual concentration to give medications, read orders/referrals, patients\' charts/document, observe and treat patients combined with time pressures and deadlines.Job Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program.
Current licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL).
Current BLS certification is required.
Completion of IV Initiation and IV Medication Administration Course, Wound Care Course, Immunization Module or willing to complete at the first available opportunity.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently.
A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 5 Driver\'s License and the use of a private vehicle are conditions of employment.
