The Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital is an acute care facility offering a range of acute and outpatient care including 24-hour emergency services. You will be a member of an integrated service delivery team providing care and treatment to clients in the Emergency Department, using professional knowledge, clinical judgment, and technical and interpersonal skills. In addition, you will provide care to the Emergency room clients within the guidelines and standards of CLPNA. You may be required to work in all areas of the Emergency Department at the discretion of the manager/charge nurse. You will also demonstrate compassion and have a strong focus on patient-centred care. The LPN provides safe and effective nursing care according to hospital policies and nursing care standards. Working within the full scope of practice, the LPN observes, monitors, reports, and documents changes in the patient\'s physical, mental, and emotional state, assists the patient with activities of daily living and provides the patient and family with relevant information and teaching. The LPN is responsible for collaborating as a member of the health care team, delivering consistent quality care, to meet the needs of the patient. Employees will participate in quality monitoring activities.
