Your Opportunity:
Henwood Treatment Centre is a 62-bed live-in treatment centre for those experiencing a substance use concern or a co-occurring substance use and mental health concern. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Henwood Treatment Centre, you will work with the Health Services team to deliver professional, nonjudgmental nursing care for clients in a clinic-like setting with a recovery-focused and trauma-informed approach. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated ability think critically and work independently, while also demonstrating excellent teamwork. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must. The successful candidate must demonstrate competency in completing a high quality of nursing care in a fast-paced environment, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders as required by client need. Responding to emergent health needs as well as medication delivery are key components of this position. A passion for client teaching and establishing/maintaining supports for on-going care and recovery are also integral to this role. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
