We participate in academic training programs for physicians and allied health professionals and offer an extensive array of continuing education courses. The Stroke Rehabilitation Unit 3A is a 29-bed unit. The nurses integrate knowledge, skills, and ability to ensure ongoing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care is essential in ensuring optimal care that is provided for out stroke patients. Working in a collaborative care model, the nurse is a member of the interprofessional care team who facilitates the patient's rehabilitation care plan with the patient and family central to the decision-making process.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
