Our 69-bed unit is one of the busiest and most specialized NICUs in Canada, serving patients from across Northern Alberta, the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. In a setting defined by high acuity and rapid pace, we care for infants with complex and urgent healthcare needs. WHAT SETS US APART: We utilize a Family Centered Care philosophy within an interdisciplinary team model and are proud to be the only NIDCAP (Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program) training center in Canada. A dedicated Resuscitation and Stabilization Team (RST) responds to the High-Risk case room at the Lois Hole Hospital. WHAT YOU'LL DO: As a Licensed Practical Nurse in our high-performing tertiary care unit, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and efficient care to some of our most vulnerable patients, newborns requiring specialized support. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
