Your Opportunity:
Unit 62 at the RAH provides patient and family centered care, with all team members working within the CoACT collaborative care model. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care for adults presenting with mental health and addiction concerns. The successful applicant will provide safe, effective and stage-matched nursing care according to clinical policies, procedures and evidence-based nursing care standards. The LPN works within a concurrent capable, recovery-oriented framework, within the context of a multidisciplinary team. You will: 1) provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being 2) utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families 3) play a role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance 4) provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.
