Your Opportunity:This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is with the Neurosciences portfolio at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic, Edmonton. This is a dynamic position that requires accurate multi-tasking and priority setting in order to accomplish daily goals. Primary responsibilities are to assist with procedures and rooming of these patients. This position requires the ability to potentially push, pull, lift and mobilize supplies. There are also repetitive tasks and sedentary work at times. You may be required to cross train with different clinics and take on additional tasks outside of the day-to-day clinic operations as well.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 1 year working regularly as a LPN in the fields of medicine or neurosciences nursing. Must be able to push, pull and manually handle weights of 40lbs minimum and to move and handle patients with minimal assistance from other staff. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be reviewed for possible interview.
