Your Opportunity:As a member of the collaborative, interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care and practices to full scope as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). The relief (float) LPN will go to all medicine units as required. Other key competencies for this role include: Interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team. Ability to work independently while continuing to collaborate with team members. Ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads and work conditions. Accountability, critical thinking, time management and communication skills. Ability to respond to new needs in the role as they arise, with initiative and self-direction.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
