We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Public Health nursing team. In collaboration with the Registered Nurse team lead, this LPN role involves the provision of immunizations in schools, influenza, and other mass immunization programs. A comprehensive orientation to the AHS immunization program will be provided. To be successful you will be self-motivated, organized with excellent time management skills, and have strong communication skills both written and oral. You will demonstrate critical thinking skills within scope of practice, including clinical judgement, problem solving skills, and strong decision-making ability. You will have an established ability to work independently, as well as positively, effectively, and cooperatively within an interdisciplinary team. Utilizing patient and family centered care, you will be able to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads and work conditions. Reporting to the Area Manager and as a member of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care and practices to full scope as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
