Your Opportunity:
The Diagnostic Imaging Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, multi-modality environment. Responsibilities are to educate and prepare patients undergoing a variety of Diagnostic Imaging Procedures. The nurse works collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, to evaluate and respond to the patient's condition and care while in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The LPN may rotate through all imaging areas on site; including interventional radiology, DI recovery, and other modalities as required. This position will share equally in any shift, or weekend responsibilities that may be expected. As well, works collaboratively with RN's, radiologists and technologists to monitor and provide care before, during, and after these procedures. The LPN will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being while in the department. The LPN is guided by their level of education, expertise, experience, demonstrated skill level and Alberta Health Services policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
