This is an exciting opportunity to work at the Renfrew Recovery Centre providing concurrent capable, adult medical detoxification and mental health services. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays an important role in providing recovery oriented, client centered, evidence informed, assessment, treatment and recovery services to Albertans. You will perform direct medical monitoring and maintenance of withdrawal; engage in individual therapeutic interactions such as medication administration, triage support, and group facilitation, while supporting individuals in connecting to community-based resources. Working with individuals to manage the full spectrum of addiction & mental health disorders and medical co-morbidities within their full scope of practice is a key part of the LPN's duties. Knowledge and adherence to AHS policies, procedures, values and code of conduct is a requirement of the individual maintaining the position. It is also the expectation that the successful candidate stays up to date on current best practices, unit specific practices, and maintain timely, accurate documentation.
