Your Opportunity:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing your full scope of practice within a multi-disciplinary team. Unit 26 is an adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit providing care for adolescents aged 13-17yrs. You will provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, while maintaining a safe environment for all. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

1-2 years mental health experience is required (community or acute care). Non-violent Crisis intervention certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Child & Adolescent mental health experience is preferred. Completion of the Brain Story Certificate is preferred.
