Your Opportunity:Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-sedentary work environment. Able to handle the physical demands of the position, including but not limited to walking, bending, lifting, and standing. Ability to maintain effective and respectful working relationships with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player. Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year palliative care and acute care experience within the last 2 years. Current, advanced clinical competency in CVAD, Parenteral Nutrition, PCA, Direct IV, Chest Tube, and BIPAP.
