Reporting to the Corrections Site Health Services Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is an important part of our multidisciplinary team at the Calgary Remand Centre. Our population presents with dynamic and complex needs in the provision of care within custody and criminal justice system. The LPN works as a member of the team collaborating on the delivery of comprehensive care to meet the needs of individuals in the correctional environment within level of competency. The LPN provides leadership in nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for the purpose of promoting, maintaining or restoring health, preventing illness, injury and disability. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
