Your Opportunity:Exciting opportunity to work at Full Scope of Practice on a busy Acute Medical Inpatient Unit. A Licensed Practical Nurse responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, patient education and evaluation of comprehensive patient and family care on a medical unit. Involves working with and delegating care to Nursing Attendants, and collaborating with a large multidisciplinary team. This position is a great opportunity to work at full scope of practice, to develop a broad knowledge base and a solid Nursing foundation as well as provide care in a Collaborative work environment.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work at full scope of practice. Geriatric & Dementia experience preferred. Strong communication skills essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-sedentary work environment. Able to handle the physical demands of the position, including but not limited to walking, bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of the shift. Demonstrated ability to work with a large multi-disciplinary team. Experience working in a CoACT environment.
