Your Opportunity:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the rural health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care to meet the needs of individuals, families and/or communities within level of competency. Patient population varies from pre and post-operative (Surgical Day Care), paediatric, seniors, palliative, and postpartum. The Licensed Practical Nurse works as a member of the health care team, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the assessment, planning, and implementation & evaluation needs of patients on acute care. The LPN is responsible and accountable to the public for his/her own practice, according to the standards defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Standards of Practice (2003). The Licensed Practical Nurse position required physical demands include lifting, pulling and pushing, walking, standing, transferring and transporting clients and equipment up to a frequent basis.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures.
