As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Current N95 Fit Test preferred and It\'s your move required. Minimum 1 year experience within the last 2 years in acute care medical nursing required. Consideration may be given to nursing graduate students who have completed a final focus in hematology. Understanding of CoAct and collaborative care in the acute care setting. Compliance with the AHS Hand Hygiene policies. Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the values of AHS - compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team and accept direction as required. Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to exercise sound nursing judgment and demonstrates critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem solving skills. Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic environment. Minimum 1 year of Hematology nursing experience within the last 2 years preferred. Experience with Connect Care preferred. Central Line certification preferred.
