Reporting to the Area/Care Manager on the Team: Integrated Home Care Program, the Health Care Aide Supervisor, works as a member of an inter-professional health care team. The Health Care Aide Supervisor, primarily responsible for the supervision of Health Care Aides, is responsible and accountable for their own practice according to the standards defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta. The Health Care Aide Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, monitoring and evaluating, in consultation with the Registered Nurse Case Manager- Short Team & Long Term, the care needs of Home Care clients and their caregivers/families requiring community-based services. The Health Care Aide Supervisor may also work in multiple settings such as residential care, assisted living, home care clinics and in the community.
