Your Opportunity:

If you are an experienced LPN who likes small town living, this position in Bashaw might be for you! In this position you are an integral member of a small Home Care office that focusses on the delivery excellent client and family centered care. Bashaw Home and Community Care offers services from a variety of health disciplines; including nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and access to a dietician. The goal is to provide an individualized experience for each client. Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are necessary in this position to provide excellent care to our clients. As an LPN, you are part of the interdisciplinary care team, leading by example to give excellent care. This position is suitable for LPN\'s who have recent homecare or acute care nursing experience and/or education, however if you are a new LPN graduate you may be considered. Bashaw is situated less than 100 km from Camrose, just north of the beautiful Battle River valley, between Stettler and Camrose. Our town is a quiet family-oriented with a strong mix of all age groups. Bashaw offers a K-12 school, restaurants, grocery store and a community center.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years community nursing experience, combination of education and nursing experience equivalency may be considered. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks and may involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Meditech, Care Manager, Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
