The Licensed Practical Nurse at Manning Community Health Centre in the town of Manning, Alberta is an integral member of the patient care team in a combined facility including Acute Care, Emergency and Long Term Care. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care and support functions consistent with the Licensed Practical Nurse Standards. The LPN is responsible to the Care Manager and under the direction and guidance of the Staff Nurse. Working in a combined facility in a rural community is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base and solid nursing foundation. The town of Manning is located on the banks of the beautiful Notikewin River in northern Alberta, and is known as the "Land of the Mighty Moose". Manning is a service centre for the local agriculture, forestry and gas industries. Pleasant summer days and midnight sunsets make living in Northern Alberta a truly unforgettable experience. Please note this position is located in Manning, Alberta, 6 hours north of Edmonton. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
