ServiceXCEL is seeking a

Licensed Plumber

who is independent, confident, and ready to help us launch our brand-new plumbing division. This isn't just another plumbing job -- you'll be one of the founding members of our plumbing team, working closely with ownership and leadership to help shape the vision, service offerings, and standards of a future market leader.

. We're looking for someone who's truly excellent at what they do, motivated to grow, eager to learn how to offer options and educate customers, and committed to quality work that avoids callbacks.

You'll be supported by an established HVAC business with a strong customer base, in-house sales & support staff, company vehicle, CRM, benefits, and marketing. We have jobs waiting -- what we need is someone who can deliver a great customer experience, help us refine our approach, and be a cornerstone of our new team.

What You'll Be Doing

Handle a wide range of residential plumbing service calls: fixture repairs and replacements (faucets, toilets, showers), water line and shutoff repairs, leak troubleshooting, valve replacements, hose bibs, water heaters, basic water filtration, and other high-frequency plumbing tasks Occasionally assist with additions, renos, and light new construction work (no major digging... yet) Present thoughtful repair and replacement options with a

low-pressure, customer-first approach

Collaborate with HVAC installers or service techs when needed to stay productive during seasonal fluctuations Review our initial pricebook and provide practical feedback -- it will be live when you start Help shape inventory stock for your service van -- you'll build it out with our support Cross-sell HVAC offerings and receive warm leads from our HVAC team Participate in team huddles, share knowledge, and help coach others as needed (especially in plumbing checks and system referrals) Represent ServiceXCEL's values in every interaction -- from learning and growth to doing the right thing for our customers, team, and community

Who We're Looking For

Red Seal plumber

(required) Bonus: Gas Fitter, HVAC, or other relevant trade certification/experience

Mature, entrepreneurial, and self-managing

Strong communicator with experience offering customers multiple options in a professional, ethical manner Excited to help shape a new department and collaborate with an existing, supportive team Brings own hand tools; we'll provide or purchase larger specialty tools as needed

Valid BC driver's license

and

clean criminal record

Compensation & Schedule

Monday to Friday, ~40 hours/week with flexibility

No evening on-call

(we plan to eventually rotate 10-5 shifts on weekends)

Target of 3 service calls per day

(some lighter or heavier days may occur) - we have endless lead opportunities as we cross-pollinate from our HVAC clientele

Commission-based pay structure identical to our HVAC techs:

>> 25% commission on jobs you sell and complete >> 10% commission when you sell but another plumber does the work >> 15% commission when you perform work sold by someone else > $25/hour backup wage guarantee > $36/hour for non-commissionable tasks (e.g. training, meetings, callbacks)

Estimated total compensation range:

$50,000 - $180,000+ annually
