Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists
- Help customers choose frames that suit their style and preferences
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Adjust frames to ensure proper fit and comfort
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyewear
- Maintain inventory of eyewear and contact lenses
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times

- Problem solving ability must be a core strength

- Working alongside Dr's and other opticians to deliver fantastic service in the community

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, and contact lenses
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures related to vision care
- Proficiency in using retail management systems for inventory tracking and sales transactions
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for handling eyewear and contact lenses
- Experience working with senior care patients is a plus
- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical record systems is preferred
- Strong math skills for retail calculations
