Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting eyewear, fitting and adjusting glasses, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products and the ability to work effectively in a retail environment.

Duties

Greet and assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences. Perform fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort. Educate patients on the use and care of their eyewear, including lenses and frames. Maintain an organized display of optical products, ensuring inventory is stocked and visually appealing. Process sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Stay informed about new optical products, trends, and technologies to better assist customers.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or optical settings is preferred. Strong understanding of laboratory processes related to eyewear production is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. . Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is beneficial. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and building lasting relationships with clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
