Join us on our journey to build a sustainable future, together.About the JobWe are looking for a Licensed Mobile Mechanic at our Walker-GroBark yard in Birds Creek, ON. Reporting to the Operations Manager for Gro-Bark North, the Licensed Mobile Mechanic is responsible for the specialized maintenance of production equipment and trucks at various Gro-Bark sites. This includes screening equipment, grinders, plant equipment, hydraulics and loaders. The incumbent utilizes organization and problem solving skills to prioritize equipment repairs. All work performed shall comply with health and safety and environmental legislation, policies and procedures.What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform maintenance and complex repairs to equipment such as trucks, screeners, grinders, bulldozers and loaders.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance program on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and requirements.
  • Repair or replace defective components using hand and power tools.
  • Design, weld and manufacture custom parts when needed.
  • Exercise good judgement and discretion in prioritizing maintenance repairs.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices.
