Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and construction electrical work, with proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation and new installations, utilizing a variety of hand tools and power tools. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Prior maintenance person experience and familiarity with electrical codes are highly valued.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and renovation settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently and safely. Work with low voltage wiring systems, including security systems, alarms, and communication lines. Maintain compliance with electrical codes and safety standards during all phases of work. Assist in the planning and execution of electrical upgrades or new installations following project specifications. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers or HVAC technicians during renovation projects. Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and PLC programming knowledge to identify root causes quickly. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with industrial and construction backgrounds. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment. Experience working with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Familiarity with construction processes, renovation projects, and electrical code compliance. Maintenance Person skills are a plus for versatile troubleshooting and minor repairs. Ability to interpret technical documents accurately and work independently or as part of a team. Licensed Electrician minimum 5 hyears of experience
