Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installation and service duties under the direction of the site foreman. This includes wiring devices and equipment, installing control systems, and ensuring that all work complies with the electrical code book.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems

Qualifications

Licensed/Apprentice Red Seal Electrician, OCOT Registered in good standing Commercial and Institutional construction an asset Valid G drivers license and transportation Safety Training Level 1-Working at Heights, WHIMIS 2015, Health & Safety Awareness, Elevating Work Platforms
This is a full time position that offers a full benefit and pension package well above the industry standards.
