Shouldice Stone in Shallow Lake, Ontario is a progressive and growing manufacturer. We are looking to fill a new position in the company, requiring an experienced, professional and adaptive

Licensed Industrial Electrician.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation work on our plant equipment and infrastructure.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with other departments in the troubleshooting of equipment and facility concerns;

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all electrical issues on production equipment;

- Maintain electrical systems on the physical building structure;

- Respond to breakdowns with a sense of urgency.

Evaluate jobs to be done in relation to tools required and the extent of materials needed;

Read and interpret blueprints for equipment and parts;

Carry out any preventative maintenance work as required by the company preventative maintenance program;

Troubleshoot PLC and control program issues and complete basic program adjustments;

Maintaining conveyor systems, feeders, and other concrete manufacturing equipment;

Repair and maintenance of existing infrastructure both underground and on surface;

- Basic response and understanding of IT infrastructure;

Coordinating with other departments such as production and planning to ensure smooth project coordination;

Other responsibilities as necessary.

Applicants must have:

A valid

442A Industrial Electrician

or

309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician

license (preference will be given to candidates holding a 442A license).

Valid Driver's License;

Experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing plant or a similar heavy industrial environment;

comfortable with PLCs, variable frequency drives, and controls considered an asset.

Opportunities for Over Time Additional $3.00/hr weekend and evening premium
