Job Overview:

LB Electric Inc. is seeking skilled and licensed electricians with a 309A Red Seal certification to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Role and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a 309A Electrician with an overall great understanding and experience in Residential & Commercial:

- E.V Chargers

- Solar Panel / Generator Installation

- Panel / Service Replacement and Upgrades

- Energy Storage Solutions Systems

- Service Calls

- Commercial & Institutional installation knowledge

Preferred Skills:

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

- Able to work well on a team.

- Able to work within a schedule-driven environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage work tasks efficiently.

- Bilingual (Preferred, not required).

- Well-organized and reliable.

- Able to instruct apprentices with proven results.

- Interpersonal skills.

- Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.

- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure electrical systems are safe and functioning properly.

- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.

- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

- Follow Canadian Electrical Code and local building regulations.

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- Document work performed and maintain records as required.

- Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Qualifications:

- Valid 309A Red Seal electrician license.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a journeyman electrician.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Knowledge of provincial electrical codes and regulations.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

- Physical ability to perform the work, including lifting heavy objects, standing, and kneeling for extended periods.

- Valid driver's license and the ability to drive.

Work Environment:

- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

- May involve working in confined spaces or at heights.

- Working in Ottawa and the surrounding areas.
