We are expanding our team and looking for a Licensed Automotive Technician to provide automotive services such as inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations in an efficient, safe, and timely manner in accordance with Ford's quality and time standards. Conforms to Ford and the dealership's safety and environmental programs and practices. Drivability, suspensions, alignments, steering, heating and air conditioning, basic and ABS brakes, and diesel and exhaust systems are among the automotive services offered.
Job Details
Road tests vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
Suggest additional work that is needed to the Service Advisor or Shop Foreman so the customer may be notified.
Completes service and repair assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections or test drives.
Collects all necessary information before requesting parts (e.g. model and year).
Maintains sufficient personally owned tools; keeps tools in good working order.
Notifies Shop Foreman and Service Advisor if delays are expected.
Maintains cleanliness of the customer's vehicle.
Submits all claims promptly.
Promotes a productive working relationship with others.
Actively listens to concerns; acts to respond to others' needs.
Provides a clear and legible record of service completed for both customer and dealership use.
Assist Service Advisors, if necessary, to explain completed repairs to a customer.
Assist other Technicians and Apprentices when needed.
Listens to and supports new ideas and approaches; adapts to change quickly.
Completes repair orders within specified time frame and alerts appropriate personnel if delayed.
Coordinates with the Parts Department to ensure parts are available to complete repair.
Performs factory warranty repairs according to established procedures.
Follow all hazardous waste and safety regulations.
Utilizes Ford-provided technical assistance (e.g. Technical Hotline, OASIS, WDS, IDS, etc.)
Stays up to date on the latest technical services through training, bulletins, campaigns, etc.)
Stays up to date with all health and safety training (e.g. WHMIS)
Acquires necessary training as required, both on and off-site
Uses diagnostic procedure to identify the symptoms of the problem, the conditions under which they occur, the OASIS symptom codes that are appropriate for the symptoms listed as well as how often the symptoms occur.
Maintains composure when faced with multiple demands.

Education & Experience
College diploma in an automotive program is required
Provincially licensed as an Automotive Service Technician by the Ontario College of Trades
Valid G Class Driver's License
