Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our perio practice. This position requires a great personality, ability to work as a team, and great communication skills with a caring demeanor for our surgical patients. Our practice is paperless and digital so computer skills are important.

Duties

Assist periodontist during examinations and surgeries by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and properly stocked with supplies. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate patient records using software such as Abledent Educate patients on oral hygiene, pre and post-operative care Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient office operations. Use of a trios intra-oral scanner for patient- this can be taught.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred Familiarity with dental software Abledent is highly desirable. Experience in surgery and periodontics is desirable but not mandatory Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism at all times. Pay: $27.00-$37.00 per hour
