- Prepare legal documents, including basic security agreements, and correspondence;
- Handle accounting matters with a strong working proficiency with all accounting and billing procedures.;
- Manage calendar and schedule meetings;
- Keep track of closing dates and bring-forward system;
- Assist with dockets and billing;
- Open / close / maintain legal files and contracts; and
- Assist with any other administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Legal Assistant Diploma;
- 5+ years of Legal Assistant experience in commercial real estate/lending practice areas;
- Experience drafting legal documents will be considered an asset;
- MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Excellent proficiency with Teraview, Outlook, iManage, PowerPoint, Excel, InterAction and Expert Time.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills; and
- Driven and willing to learn.
