The opportunity
The Lending Administration Specialist is part of Credit Support and is responsible to provide strong knowledge and support to lending administration, maintenance and servicing Canadian Western Bank\'s loan portfolio. This role will contribute and support the Manager, Lending Administration Group to drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing
Risk Management, Lending Administration & Optimization
  • Contribute and support the organization by providing consistent credit processing specific to lending administration and maintenance for the Personal lending line of business.
  • Contribute to the progress of continuous improvement of all Credit Support processes specific to lending administration and maintenance.
  • Support and maintain the processes which lead to consistent and predictable daily Credit Support outcomes
  • Ensure contributions to lending administration comply with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures to ensure the branch network can continue to deliver a high level of customer service.

  • Provide support within the Personal Credit Support department to ensure smooth daily operations and maintenance of consistent centralized service workflow.
  • Inspire trust by being open, honest, and direct in communication, meeting commitments and behaving ethically by adhering to the CWB Conduct Policy.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that contribute to working effectively in a diverse working environment.

Financial Growth & Profitability
  • Actively works to ensure standardized lending administration processes are followed, and data integrity is consistently achieved, monitored, and maintained.
  • Participates in projects that primarily impact functional area or specific department, adhering to standard project governance practices and operating within approved budget.
  • Due diligence as it relates to credit support activities, procedures, and documentation for compliance with regulatory bodies.

Client focused
  • Model a client-centric approach for team members where required to ensure a client-focused lens is used in providing services to the branch network.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets are being met.
  • Establish a collaborative and client-centric relationship with Credit Support and branch network while balancing the efficiencies and governance of a standardized structure.
  • Correspond with branches and provide direct lending administration support, both verbally and in writing, regarding loan processing and inquiries.


Who we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for & what you\xe2\x80\x99ve done
Core Knowledge
  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of banking experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of loan administration
  • Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.
  • Understanding of process improvement and continuous process design to achieve optimization.

  • Process efficiency with an optimization focus to continuously enhance and improve day-to-day operations
