Position: Collections Administrator Professional Services
Location: Downtown Toronto

Our client a leader in the legal industry is currently seeking a Collections Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis in a hybrid work model.

The Collections Administrator is responsible for the timely and professional follow-up/collection of the Firm\'s outstanding accounts for an assigned portfolio of lawyers across the firm.

Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

- Following guidelines and procedures contacting clients regarding past-due payment of accounts
- Maintaining and monitoring the aged A/R portfolio while achieving target KPIs and departmental goals
- Retaining up-to-date and accurate and accurate client files on the Accounts Receivable Collections Systems
- Assisting with processing payments
- Working closely with other collections administrators, assistants and internal professionals as well as clients to examine payments with insufficient details to be posted
- Preparing cheque requisitions for duplicate payments and overpayments
- Preparing reports on unapplied payments and large payments received
- Liaising with the banks to resolve unidentified credits in company\'s bank accounts
- Completing client information forms as required
- Managing client-fee credits
- Offering exemplary customer service
- Executing other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications Required:

- University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting or Finance and/or related equivalent experience
- Must have at least 2 plus years of collections experience preferably within legal, accounting, financial or other professional services related firm
- Working knowledge of CMS is considered an asset
- Advanced working knowledge of all applications of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Must be able to work effectively within a high-paced team in a positive manner
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive
- Must have excellent multitasking skills and be able to manage large volumes of tasks
- Excellent communication skills via telephone and email
