Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Clerk to support our legal team with a variety of administrative and research tasks. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the legal field. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in legal research and document management systems. Prior administrative experience and familiarity with legal drafting are highly valued. The role involves working closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to ensure efficient case preparation and document handling.

Duties



Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to formatting standards Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and iManage to support case development Assist with project management tasks related to case files, deadlines, and document organization Support interviewing processes by preparing questions and documenting responses Manage data entry tasks accurately within various legal databases and filing systems Draft, review, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for easy retrieval of case files Perform clerical duties including answering phones with professional phone etiquette, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars Support attorneys with general administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing documents

Qualifications



Proven experience in administrative or clerical roles within a legal environment preferred Strong proofreading, writing, and legal drafting skills Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and iManage is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Experience with project management and data entry applications preferred Good interviewing skills for gathering information efficiently Attention to detail in proofreading and document review processes Strong communication skills, including professional phone etiquette Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.75 per hour
