Job Summary


We are seeking a professional and organized Legal Receptionist and Assistant in our Melville office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities



Greet clients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent phone etiquette Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, scheduling appointments and handle message taking efficiently Assist with legal files Proofread legal documents for accuracy and clarity before submission or filing Draft basic legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail and proper legal formatting Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times Support clerical duties including filing, scanning, and organizing files and documents

Skills



Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette Ability to work well under pressure and competing deadlines Strong proofreading, writing skills, and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products A positive and team-oriented attitude Previous experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred but not required Post-secondary education in a business. legal assistant or administrative assistant program preferred but not required
