Responsibilities:
Draft, edit, proofread and/or format legal documents such as agreements, pleadings, and motions
Maintain and organize paper and electronic filing systems for legal documents and correspondence
Track deadlines and court dates using calendars and software
Manage calendars, schedule appointments and coordinate meetings and appearances
Generate and process client invoices
Perform other administrative tasks to support the lawyer and/or department
Skills & Qualifications:
Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and deliver work with a high level of attention to detail. Self-motivated and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Strong Communication Abilities: Clear and professional verbal and written communication with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Technologically Proficient: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other relevant software tools.
Customer Service Oriented: Demonstrated ability to provide professional, responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
Professionalism and Discretion: Strong understanding of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information.
Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a professional office or customer service environment is preferred.
Education: A Legal Assistant Certificate from an accredited college is an asset but not required. Candidates with completed post-secondary education from an accredited college or university will also be considered
