We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Business Law Team at our downtown Vancouver office.

Able to multitask with great attention to detail/ take initiative
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare/file annual maintenance of British Columbia companies, Federal corporations, Societies and annual reports for extra provincial registrations
Prepare and send reminder emails to clients
Prepare/ file director changes (when requested)
Assist with monthly billing for the Business Law Team, including annual maintenance billing
Assist with transparency register project (when requested)
Prepare transparency register project billing
Supporting due diligence activities, including conducting and coordinating corporate and due diligence searches in British Columbia (ie. BC Online searches)
Assist with letters and emails sending physical and virtual minutes books out (ie. registered and records office incoming/outgoing changes)
Filing financing statements in virtual minutes books (when requested)
Assist with overflow of general updates and maintenance of physical and virtual minute books
Update Appara [company management system] corporate database accordingly
Prepare certified document packages (when requested)
Order Certificates of Good Standing (when requested)
Assist with overflow work as needed
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant or Administrative Assistant program
Experience working in a law firm or office environment is an asset
Previous corporate experience is an asset
Able to organize and prioritize workload
Solid proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe)
o Experience with CosmoLex [accounting software], NetDocuments [document management system] and Appara is an asset
Ability to use critical thinking while problem-solving
Team player
