We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work both remotely and in our office. It is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent work environment while also valuing in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to lawyer.
Draft, review, and manage legal documents and correspondence
Maintain and organize electronic files and case management systems
Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
Assist with time entry, billing, and other administrative tasks
Bookkeeping duties as required (an asset)
Qualifications
Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
Bookkeeping experience is an asset
Ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
High attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with Leap Legal Software would be a significant asset.
