Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Assistant to join our Corporate/Commercial team. This role provides vital support to our lawyers and clients in a fast-paced, dynamic business law practice. The ideal candidate thrives on precision, organization, and collaboration, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service.


What You'll Do


As part of our Corporate team, you'll play a key role in keeping client files and transactions running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:


Preparing and filing documents for incorporations, amendments, reorganizations, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, and other corporate transactions.
Attending to online filings with the Saskatchewan Corporate Registry and Corporations Canada.
Maintaining and updating corporate minute books, ledgers, and databases.
Drafting and reviewing corporate resolutions, agreements, and ancillary documentation.
Conducting and analyzing due diligence and corporate searches.
Coordinating large monetary transactions and preparing client reporting packages.
Communicating with clients, accountants, and financial institutions to ensure seamless service delivery.
Managing lawyer calendars, deadlines, and files to support effective practice management.
Providing administrative and clerical support, including document preparation, correspondence, and file organization.


What You Bring


A Legal/Administrative Assistant diploma (or equivalent education and experience).
2-5 years of experience in a corporate or commercial legal environment (experience with Saskatchewan corporate filings is an asset).
Strong understanding of corporate procedures and applicable legislation.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with professionalism and poise.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and corporate management platforms such as Emergent or ISC Corporate Registry.
A collaborative spirit and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
