Job Description

Our client, a leading boutique law firm in Edmonton, is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support their corporate and litigation practices.

Tasks:

  • Support two Associates across both corporate and litigation practices
  • Perform paralegal tasks, such as corporate reorganizations and more
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinate communication
  • Manage deadlines, limitations, and filing requirements to ensure files remain compliant and organized
  • Oversee general file management, including opening, maintaining, and closing files
  • Prepare engagement letters, transaction documents, correspondence, presentations, organization charts, spreadsheets, and reports
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of a recognized legal assistant program.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of corporate and litigation legal experience in a law firm setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management software.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to efficiently manage both physical and electronic files.
  • Client-focused: A strong commitment to delivering outstanding service to both internal and external clients.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with lawyers, staff, and clients.
  • Growth-oriented: Enthusiastic about continuous learning and professional development.
