We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Legal Assistant
to support our growing team. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage sensitive client matters with discretion and care.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, format, and prepare court documents, correspondence, and family law agreements
Manage client files, organize disclosure, and maintain accurate digital and physical records
Schedule meetings, court dates, mediations, and client appointments
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and third parties
Open and close files, process billing, and support lawyers with daily administrative tasks
Assist with preparation for hearings, conferences, and trials
Ensure deadlines are tracked and met
Qualifications
Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in family law (preferred but not required)
Strong knowledge of court processes and filing requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Proficiency with legal software (e.g., Cosmolex, DivorceMate, MS Office)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage emotionally sensitive situations professionally
