Small Criminal law firm in Kenora, Ontario requires a Administrative Assistant for two busy lawyers. Law firm experience would be preferred, but not required, can provide training. Opportunity available to grow into a legal assistant role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answering the telephone;
- Managing the general office email;
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail;
- Printing/ photocopying/ scanning documents;
- Copying and binding casebooks;
- Archiving files;
- Filing and Opening files;
- Other administrative duties as required;
The ideal candidate will have:
- Some work experience in a law firm/office setting;
- Willingness to learn;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and MS Office; Outlook; Excel; PCLaw;
- Knowledge of Legal Aid Ontario Account system would be an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- The ability to work as part of a team in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
Salary provided to be commensurate with experience.
Start date could be earlier, depending upon candidate's availability.
