We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a commitment to providing exceptional support in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assisting attorneys with various tasks, ensuring efficient office operations, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules and coordinating meetings
Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining organized case files
Handle customer service inquiries and provide exceptional support to clients
Manage front desk duties, including answering multi-line phone systems and greeting visitors
Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for document preparation, correspondence, and presentations
Conduct proofreading of legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-functioning workspace
Perform bookkeeping tasks as needed, including managing invoices and payments using QuickBooks
Assist with clerical duties such as typing legal documents, correspondence, and reports
Experience
Previous experience in a legal setting is preferred but not mandatory
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
Experience with data entry and clerical tasks is essential
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills are required
Experience in Estate planning is an asset.
