Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant, to join Conveyancing Department in our Kelowna Landmark office. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and hardworking team player. The regular working hours for this role are Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, 8:30am \xe2\x80\x93 4:30pm.
General Accountability

The Residential Real Estate LAA - Conveyancing will have recent BC experience, specializing in the field of residential conveyancing and land development transactions.
Primary Responsibilities

  • You will manage a file from start to finish including opening and closing
  • Review and process purchase and sales contracts, deposits and payouts
  • Prepare discharge of mortgages and reporting discharge particulars to purchaser\xe2\x80\x99s legal representative
  • Prepare and finalize reporting letters
  • Communicate with vendors, purchasers, financial institutions, clients, lawyers, realtors and others
  • Maintain bring forward system
  • Handle monthly billings

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education, preferably a Legal Administrative Assistant certificate or diploma.
  • 2-4 years of conveyancing experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of conveyancing procedures.
  • The ability to work independently and yet be a team player is necessary.
  • Excellent written composition, spelling, grammar, editing and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate in a professional, mature and courteous manner
  • Strong document productions skills and a solid proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • The ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Econveyance, LTSA and e-filing
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in work product
