Legal Administrative Assistant - Employment & Human Rights Law
We are a boutique employment and human rights law firm seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support our operations. This is a part-time role, with the potential to move to full-time. Regular in-office attendance is required.
While prior experience is an asset, we are primarily looking for someone who is proactive, bold, communicates effectively, and demonstrates compassion and empathy in client interactions. An interest in this area of law and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with client intake: respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, greet clients, prepare retainers, and process payments
File management: open and maintain matters in CosmoLex and cloud drive, assist with file transfers and archiving, draft and finalize closing packages
Provide administrative support: schedule meetings, book boardrooms, organize documents
Handle legal documents: assist with preparing affidavits and pleadings, file documents with the court, perform basic searches, arrange service of documents
Answer and direct calls and emails from clients, counsel, and other contacts
Contribute new ideas for process management, helping to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Proactive and resourceful with strong organizational skills
Comfortable working with legal software (experience with CosmoLex is an asset)
Compassionate and professional in client-facing roles
Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
