We are looking for lecturers for the Social Sciences Department. The ideal candidate will be able to teach one or more of the following psychology courses:
Introduction to Psychology: This course examines topics related to fundamental psychological processes involving the brain and nervous system, sensory processes, perception, states of consciousness, learning, cognition, memory, affect and other processes underlying human behavior. Research methods and data analysis procedures used in psychology are also examined, as are the historical foundations of modern psychology as a scientific discipline.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan course sessions;
Deliver sessions in a dynamic, effective and structured manner;
Design formative and summative assessments using the competency-based approach;
Administer and correct evaluations;
Follow up each student and encourage success;
Be available to students to help them develop the competency targeted by the course;
All other related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet one of the following criteria:
Master\'s degree in psychology or equivalent;
2 years\' experience teaching the same or similar courses at another post-secondary institution;
Ability to demonstrate success in innovative or student-centered teaching techniques;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Knowledge of course learning outcomes is an asset ;
Excellent teaching skills;
Professionalism and cordiality in working with others;
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) ;
Fluency in English and French.
